Why the bulb comes out

This light uses a replaceable G4 bulb, so the bulb can be changed while keeping the fixture.

Disconnect power before opening the head or changing the bulb. Follow the instructions for your exact model, and restore the lens and seal correctly before use.

Choose a replacement that matches the fixture's rated input, AC/DC requirements, wattage limit and available space. A matching G4 base or a different color temperature alone does not confirm compatibility.

Standalone G4 bulbs are not currently available to order on this website. Contact our support team to confirm a suitable replacement and current availability.

For help choosing a replacement, see G4 Replacement Bulb Support. Warranty requests are reviewed under the warranty terms.

Where this light goes

The flat, wide shade lights the ground beside a path, a drive or a bed, from knee height, pointed down.

Use it here

Walkway / front path Off the paving edge, on the lawn side. 6–8 ft apart.
Driveway edge Along the lawn edge, 10 ft apart. One side reads the edge.
Garden bed border The wide shade keeps light on the mulch, not across the patio.
Patio perimeter In the planting around the edge, not in the paving.

Not this light — use these

Steps, deck edges Recessed deck light — sits in the riser.
Trees, house wall Spotlight or well light — they throw light up.
Retaining walls Hardscape light, under the capstone.
Ponds, fountains Pond light, IP68. This one is IP65.

How many, and which transformer

Measure the run and read the row. Every count is this light at 3 W, with the transformer sized to 80% of its rating.
Walk or bed edge 6 ft apart 8 ft apart 10 ft apart Packs at 8 ft
20 ft 4 3 3 4
40 ft 7 6 5 6
60 ft 11 8 7 4 + 4
80 ft 14 11 9 12
100 ft 17 13 11 6 + 4 + 4
150 ft 26 19 16 12 + 4 + 4
200 ft 34 26 21 12 + 6 + 4 + 4

Divide the run by the spacing, add one for the far end. 6 ft reads as a continuous pool; 10 ft is accent, with dark between. A 200 W transformer carries 53 of these, a 300 W carries 80. Packs: 4, 6 or 12 lights.

One run, everything it takes. A 60 ft walk at 8 ft is 8 lights (4 + 4), the 2-Zone Transformer at 200 W, and 100 ft of 16 AWG Landscape Wire. The load is 24 W; the transformer carries 160 W.

Mixing these with spotlights or deck lights on one transformer is a whole-yard question — Plan my yard works three yards end to end.

6-pack Oil-Rubbed Bronze — $84.91 USD

12-pack Sand Black — $149.91 USD

Both packs use replaceable 3W G4 bulbs with warm 2700K light. Each fixture includes its G4 bulb, stake and connector; the 6- and 12-packs also include a spare bulb. Transformer and main landscape wire are not included.

Need a transformer?

Optional 2-zone 300W transformer — $79.91 USD. Its 12V/14V AC output is within these lights' stated 12–15V AC input range. Check fixture load, wiring and installation instructions. A 300W transformer is not the minimum required for a 6- or 12-light pack. Products are sold separately.

Putting it in

Lay them out, run the wire past the last one, clip a connector at each, power up and check, then stake them and bury the wire 6 in deep. A trowel and an afternoon for twelve. Step by step

Runs on what you have

Check this fixture's input rating, power-supply requirements and connection method before connecting it to an existing system. Follow the instructions for the exact model. Ask about compatibility

6 in is the NEC 300.5 minimum for ≤30 V landscape wiring, not our measurement.

What the numbers mean

2700 K is the color of most porch bulbs, so the path reads as part of the house, not a runway.

3 watts a light: a 200 W transformer runs 53, a 300 W runs 80. The 47-inch lead reaches the main wire without an extension.

The coating is the one part that never comes off — the bulb, the stake and the connector all do — so it is the one we made thick: 70–100 μm, tested to 500 hours in salt spray*. It meets sprinkler water, a trimmer at the base, wet soil, and winter salt.

Questions people ask

The bulb went out — what do I buy?

Standalone G4 replacement bulbs are not currently available to order on this website. Before choosing a replacement, match the exact fixture's rated input voltage, AC/DC requirements, wattage limit and available space. A G4 base alone does not establish compatibility.

G4 Replacement Bulb Support explains how to request help and confirm current availability. Include the fixture name or product link and the original bulb markings if available.

How bright is it on the ground?

150 lumens a light through a 120° beam pointed down, so the light lands on the ground, not in your eyes. At 6 ft apart the pools join; at 10 ft there is dark between.

Can I use a warmer, cooler or colored bulb?

A different color temperature may be suitable only if the replacement also matches the exact fixture's electrical and physical requirements. A G4 base alone does not confirm compatibility; check the rated input voltage, AC/DC requirements, wattage limit and available space before ordering.

If you are unsure, use G4 Replacement Bulb Support to ask our team. Standalone G4 bulbs are not currently available to purchase on this website.

Is a transformer included?

No. The box has the lights, their G4 bulbs, stakes and connectors. They run on a 12 V landscape transformer and direct-burial main wire — ours are the 2-Zone Transformer and Landscape Wire. Already have a system? They go on it.

The trimmer hit one. Now what?

Hits come from below — stem and stake — which is why the wall is thick where they meet. A light that leans after a wet week is pushed back in by hand; the wire stays connected. If one is broken, email us the product name and a photo.

Will it run on the 12 V transformer I already own?

Input is 12–15 V AC or 12–24 V DC, which covers standard landscape transformers.

What is the warranty?

Ten years on the aluminum fixture. The bulb has its own terms on the warranty page. A claim is the order number, the product name and one photo; the replacement ships from the U.S. warehouse. Warranty terms

Can I return it?
