Why this one is sealed

The LED in this light is integrated — not a bulb you take out. It sits on the outside of a post or a rail, in the rain, so the LED and its lead are sealed into the die-cast body — IP65 — with nothing to open.

So there is no cap to unscrew. When it fails, the unit you replace is the light, and inside the warranty that replacement is ours — order number, product name, one photo.

The path lights, the spotlight and the bulbs are built the other way, with a stock bulb you can pull. We say which is which on every page.

Where this light goes

It mounts on a bracket and throws down. It runs on its own 24 V supply, not the landscape run — read the right-hand table first.

Use it here

Fence posts One per post, on the face or the cap, hood down.
Deck rails On the post or under the top rail, so the light drops onto the boards.
Stair edges On the wall or the post beside the treads.
Gate posts One each side, at the latch height.

The kit, and what it carries

Eight or twelve lights on 2-pin plugs, and a 40 W supply that turns them on at dusk, off on a timer, and dims them.
Set Lights Load on the supply Supply
8-light kit 8 24 W 40 W, in the box
12-light kit 12 36 W 40 W, in the box
One light 1 3 W none — adds to a kit

The 40 W supply runs the 12-light kit, so an 8-light kit takes four more singles.

Putting it in

Mount the bracket, slide the light on, plug the 2-pin connectors together along the rail, plug the supply into an outdoor outlet. No stripping anywhere.

Runs on its own supply

DC 24 V from the kit supply. It does not go on a 12 V landscape transformer, and the 2-pin plugs are not the landscape kind.

What the numbers mean

3.66 by 2.16 inches is the whole point: it sits on a post cap or a rail without becoming the thing you look at.

180 lumens pointed down through 120° lights the rail and the board under it, not the neighbor's yard.

Die-cast aluminum with stainless fittings, not plastic: on a rail it takes sun, rain and the hose, and it carries the ten-year aluminum warranty.

Questions people ask

Is a power supply included?

In the 8- and 12-light kits, yes: a 40 W plug-in supply with a photocell, a 2–12 hour timer and dimming. The single light has none — it adds to a kit.

Will it run on my 12 V landscape transformer?

No. It runs on the DC 24 V supply that comes in the kit and plugs together on 2-pin connectors. For a light that goes on the landscape run, use the half-moon rail light.

Can I add a light to the 8-light kit?

Yes — the single. The 40 W supply runs twelve, so an 8-light kit takes four more.

Does it dim?

The kit supply does: dusk-to-dawn, a 2–12 hour timer, and a brightness setting. The lights follow the supply.

Is it metal?

Yes — die-cast aluminum with stainless fittings, in a bronze finish. Not plastic.

What is the warranty?

Ten years on the aluminum fixture. A claim is the order number, the product name and one photo; the replacement ships from the U.S. warehouse. Warranty terms

Can I return it?

Return eligibility, return shipping costs and refund approval are governed by our Return Policy. Contact support@hiboitec.com before sending any item back. For a damaged, missing or faulty item, include your order number, product name and a photo so we can review the issue. Return policy
